Medicine Counter Assistant (MCA) Plus Course Information

The MCA Plus course covers pharmacy customer service, health and safety, teamwork and the order, receipt and storage of pharmaceutical stock. It is designed for medicine counter staff who are not involved in the assembly of prescribed items but who are required to receive pharmacy supplies and store them safely.

The MCA Plus course allows optimum use of counter staff so that they may support the dispensary staff by assisting with the handling of stock.

The MCA Plus qualification is the Level 2 Equivalent in Pharmacy Services Unit Route for staff not involved in assembly of prescribed items but required to order, receive or store pharmaceutical stock.
