• Unit - Dispense medicines and products (mandatory)
• Unit - Control stock of pharmaceutical materials and equipment (mandatory)
• Unit - Providing pharmaceutical information and advice (mandatory)
• Unit - Ensure your own actions reduce the risks to health and safety (mandatory)
• Unit - Manage your work and development
• Unit - Assist with the provision of pharmacy customer service
• Unit - Support the use of pharmacy information technology
• Unit - Manufacture and assemble sterile and non-sterile batch medicinal products
• Unit - Prepare pharmaceutical products aseptically
• Unit - Assist in the sale of OTC medicines
• Unit - Assist in the provision of community specialist activities
• Unit - Facilitate learning through demonstration and instruction

• Develop the role of the pharmacy technician so that they can deal with routine queries.
• Enable the technician to be involved in professional discussions with the pharmacist regarding more complex issues.

• You will have completed a course which provided you with the underpinning knowledge for the Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills (NVQ)(QCF) (formerly NVQ 3 Pharmacy Services Evidence Collection) i.e. the Technical Certificate.

• 12 months

You will be required to compile a portfolio of evidence of competence in your role. This will involve a variety of types of evidence to include:

• Observations by your witnesses in the pharmacy (your pharmacist or senior technician)
• Personal Accounts

These will then be assessed by staff at Buttercups Training.
